so this week ended up pretty high calorie wise, of course with it being Thanksgiving week

but Monday I had a single dinner

gained 6.2 lbs overnight

this morning, had a Progenex MM shake with a touch of coconut oil

lunch was at Red Chili, cup of tom kha gai, rice, panang beef curry with chiles

well, something magical happened today in my workout

woke up and did the CO + 10 humapro, then my WTF

I hit the gym for chionups again

well, I did 61 IN 48 MINUTES!!!

not a typo

the 3 sets of 3 I did with an additional 15 lb dumbell

the rest was in sets of 2, 3, and 4

I knocked out the first 30 in 18 minutes, a few weeks I hit 30 in 22 min, but with 13 singles

came home and took Progenex More Muscle and Recovery

lunch was 2 raw organic egg yolks, 2 organic eggs sunnyside up, 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 smoked pork loin and organic grassfed butter

the rest of my consumption was chained out and humapro (30 total for the day)

AFTER LUNCH I HAD A WHOLE DARK CHOCOLATE BAR WITH NIBS AND 3 OATMEAL WALNUT COOKIES A COLLEAGUE HAD BROUGHT IN, THE THIRD ONE WITH A GRANDE STEAM MILK WITH SUGAR FREE HAZELNUT FROM STARBUCKS, ALONG WITH SOME CANDIED ALMONDS

DINNER AT HALF MOON BAY BREWERY FOR A SEND OFF PARTY
LESS THAN ONE LIGHT BEER FOLLOWED BY A POTATO SKIN AND A TOAST POINT WITH SHRIMP ARTICHOKE CHEESE SPREAD, MOST OF A BOWL OF CLAM CHOWDER AND MOST OF MY WILD SALMON FISH AND CHIPS, WITH SOME COD FROM MY GIRL

tomorrow will be a low cal day, just chained out and humapro and progenex more muscle and some organic ghee, calories will be about 400

Saturday, prob will have one meal out - then back to low cal Sunday through Tuesday

Wednesday will be dinner out with folks and almost certainly a lunch at work, Thursday and Friday 'clean' and low cal

so 33 total in 50 minutes, the last 3 being single rep neutral grip pullups

I had a heavy dinner yesterday, meat, potatoes, eggs, egg yolks, half and half, and Warrior Milk, preceded by an anabolic pump

plan was to eat super light, but I went to the city and went to George's and had a dozen raw oysters and later at night had a 1/2 lb of ground chuck - still no more than 800 calories though I would say

so my brain is working around the clock, trying to get my next new gig

this is the price of consulting I guess - everything should go fine though (I firmly believe)

I ate really well again today

I really want my weight and fat loss to zoom so I am doing things (or not doing things) that probably don't affect my fat loss but as I like to see the scale go down on certain days I will avoid the super plasma protein as it is a liquid protein

now tomorrow I will be working out so I will definitely have the super plasma during my post workout meal

this weather totally sux

well, I did some reading on Vitamin D today a la Dr. Eades

so I had about a tablespoon of purity farms organic pastured ghee with a bunch of Vitamin D

before dinner had a scoop of Progenex Growth + 4 srg + a scoop of ON whey

hour and half later:

4 oz wild smoked salmon
spoon of ghee

so a low calorie day of about 1000 calories

despite throwing down about 3100 calories yesterday, over half of that being a pint of organic pastured cream, my weight went down 0.6 lbs

did a great back and biceps workout - going to hit shoulders and biceps on Friday morning before I fly out

I through in some cable bicep pulls with 20 and 25lbs for some extra umph!

then I went to Walmart to get a toaster oven

used my toaster oven to throw down a 1.1 lb prime ny strip steak, really delish

really happy, even with these low calories

so I love my girl

there I said it (about a million times to her though)

I am learning that I won't wither away with low calories, and that I can afford to it

actually we all can, we have tons of stored bodyfat on us - important thing is to access it and let your body go to town

I'll be going back to my progenex tomorrow morning after my workouts, on days I don't workout, I will just fast or keep calories to around 400 to 900 calories

it's amazing, fasting the whole day is really hard, but a small vlc to zero carb meal is fantastic at blunting the effects of hunger

really testing this Adonis Effect thing - if I don't need a calorie surplus, then I workout a lot to build up my chest and shoulders, and still lose fast super super fast...

so workout planned for tomorrow
let's see - perhaps some incline dumbell press, dips, T-bar, and some squats to finish stuff up

and then again on Saturday

do a pure military press and squats workout shall we?


will take Sunday off - will see how I feel on Monday

even if I workout on Tuesday (assuming I don't fly out to Minnesota) - I can go with no beef by just eating some extra protein powder and a dozen egg yolks

I didn't do the no salt thing as I brought ny strips from Minnesota that I already slathered with real salt and Lundy's beef seasoning

Minnesota Trip 4: Day 14 (couldn't do it)

I slept pretty well last night, didn't watch too much tv

went through the fast - felt like forever, but just started day 2

just water again today, not counting quarts as much as I will go by feel - yesterday I stopped drinking water at 3pm and was using the restroom into the night

even got in an intense 11 minute workout this morning, done in series:

weighed myself in at 181.2 lbs @23.7%BF before dinner

man, really wish I didn't get into that tussle last night

surprisingly, I slept decently

well, aiming for a 3 day water fast

I will maintain no matter what the consequences

I know I have reserves

I have had plenty of protein and fat, especially the last two days

the studies are there to indicate no metabolic slowdown

doing a shoulder workout tomorrow (maybe even some shrugs) to keep my muscle mass intact

Minnesota Trip 4: Day 9

woke up super early today

had a wonderful conversation with Jen last night, she is the best you know

well - I dropped 2 more lbs

had a nice workout today after my nap

main bulk: 101 Perfect Pushups raised with feet on a small table to hit the shoulders and back

then did seated arnold presses with 35 lb dumbells

finished up with dumbell bicep curls, 35 lbs followed by 30 lbs

dinner was simple, trying to remember to keep the calories low to burn fat and lifting to shape my physique, no need to stuff myself full of calories (unless I go to Vegas on Sunday)

so I got a response from Dr. Scott Connelly on the progenex blog, he recommends high protein so I decided to up the protein to improve my body comp - especially because I am fasting at least once a week, if not two

flew in today - was a little hungry so I had a high protein dinner/very low in carbs/high saturated fat

I did a weigh in before dinner, 185.2 lbs

had a scoop of progenex growth, 4 srg, and 2 scoops of Warrior Milk

went to Byerly's and bought some groceries

4 oz thousand hills summer sausage
block of cheese (raw and regular)
1/2 lb thousand hills ground beef - raw
4 oz wild smoked salmon
4 scoops of Warrior Milk mixed with 5g of organic cinnamon

Total Protein = approximately 200 grams

Calories: approximately 2000

plan for tomorrow, progenex/warrior milk after workout and then raw beef and egg yolks for dinner - that should help my body composition a lot

goal is to workout 4x a week as long as I am in MN

Monday was a high protein day with a bunch of potatoes for a late brunch

Tuesday had no carbs except for ones with organic coconut milk, medium protein

Wednesday: MS Farms Tallow and Prather Ranch sirloin (0.54 lbs) and 1/2 lb Holding Ranch ground beef, started with kelp supplement

I was starving at night as I had to work late - I almost caved but I opted for high saturated fat, low carb, high satiety, high calorie as I am fasting today

given that my supper calories were about 1300 calories, my late night 'snack' was about 2000 calories!

my total for the day was about 3300 calories - so I am trying to fast for the next three days, will see how my rings feel

I really wasn't very proud of my high cal day, but live and let live...

nice thing is I came back and my folks commented how good I looked, considering how high my ultimate goal is, it did feel good
